LAGLO is the police's Lesbian And Gay Liason Officer. The Dorset police have dedicated officers whose role is to liason with the lesbian and gay community. They encourage the reporting of crimes and incidents and to increase confidence in the police.

The Dorset Lesbian & Gay Helpline is a volunteer staffed phone line that provides a friendly, Listening ear for callers who might be having difficulties, feel isolated, may just need someone to talk to, or simply require local information.

A community resource offering free information, advice and guidance from a range of different resources.

These include the C.A.B, Men in Mind, Ansbury Employments Services, Free Counsellor services, Gateway Counselling, health and wellness advice, Bournemouth Samaritans Room Hire, Internet I.t Suite & and training rooms. Also the STR Team, the Bournemouth Community Mental Health Support Time & Recovery Team, specialising in supporting individuals in the local community to plan, work towards and achieve their full potential.

Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) is an ecumenical Christian church that was founded in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) community. They strive to be a church that finds unity in our diversity. While not all members identify as GLBT, the church seeks to reach out to all persons who feel disenfranchised by Christianity especially GLBT persons.

Mind OUT Dorset is a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered help-line. The group meet on Thursdays from 1pm - 4pm at Over The Rainbow.

Their helpline is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday evening from 7.00 to 9.30 p.m. You can call and leave a message at any time.

Space Youth Project is a group for young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual, transgendered or just unsure. We meet every friday evening in Bournemouth. You get the opportunity to meet other people and make new friends, chat, go out, plan evenings out and have fun!
